RPC Kooragang has manufacture and delivered 8 Sea Tube liners to GA Glanville of Cairns (Naval architects & Marine Consultants) for retrofitting to the ANZAC ships sonar equipment.
November 2004 Ravensthorpe Nickel - Cooling Water System Design
RPC Technologies has been engaged by Ravensthorpe Joint Venture to carry out the design of the GRP Cooling Water System for the Ravensthorpe Nickel Project Power Station.
October 2004 Albany Grain Terminal - Storage Silo Bird Proofing
Special FRP bird proofing for 12 of 30m diameter grain storage silo was designed, manufactured at RPC Indonesia and delivered to the project through Leighton Contractors
October 2004 Changi EP5 Pipes and Fittings
Following on from the dampers order in August, EnviPure has now placed an order for the supply and delivery of 3,200 metres of FRP pipes and fittings for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant Odour Control System. The pipes and fittings will be supplied as required early to mid 2005.
September 2004 Train Lighting Contract
Following on from the awards in May this year for the GRP Interior Panels and Seating, United Goninan has awarded a fourth contract to RPC - Rail Interiors division for the Interior Lights for the Outer Suburban Cars Stage 1 to be supplied to the State Rail Authority of New South Wales.
September 2004 Army Trucks Roof Racks
The Department of Defence - Defence Materiel Organisation has ordered 740 special GRP roof racks for the Australian Army Mack Truck fleet. The racks will be built to the Army's own design and are scheduled for delivery over the next 12 months.
September 2004 - Changi Contract C3D
Keppel Engineering has awarded a contract to RPC Singapore for the design, engineering, manufacture / fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of the FRP pipes, ducts, dampers, actuators and support systems for the Exhaust Air (EA) and Scrubber Recycling (SR) lines for the Changi C3D Liquids Module 2 M & E Works Contract. The contract follows an order in August for the FRP puddle flanges which are to be incorporated into the civil works. The total order value approaches $3.0m. Design work has begun in Australia and the project will be managed in Singapore.
September 2004 ANZAC Spherion Sonar Dome Update
The first of the 4 replacement Sonar Domes has been successfully demoulded and is currently being finished prior to delivery to Thales Underwater Systems. RPC is currently exploring the significant market world wide for these domes as used on similar ships in several countries.
August 2004 Changi EP5 Dampers
EnviPure has ordered dampers for the Changi EP5 Odour Control Systems. A total of 52 actuated dampers ranging in size from 400mm to 1220mm diameter will be manufactured and assembled in the Batam works and delivered to the contract during the last quarter of 2004 and the first quarter of 2005.
August 2004 Spherical Enclosure for Optical Telescope
EOS Space Systems has ordered components for a Keck Interferometer Outrigger Enclosure, a spherical composite cladding designed to protect an optical telescope from extreme weather conditions. This order brings the total number of domes supplied to EOS to 8 units being 2 at 5m diameter and 6 at 10m diameter for various locations both overseas and in Australia.
August 2004 Engineering Excellence Award RPC Technologies
Transform Rail Interiors division has been awarded the 2004 Engineers Australia Award for Engineering Excellence (Contribution to Manufacturing) for the work undertaken on the Keck Dome GRP Cladding. These awards are very prestigious and recognise our expertise in GRP engineering design and manufacturing. The award was accepted by Brian Ness.
July 2004 Sandgate WWTP Ductwork
Following the success of Oxley WWTP Odour Control Improvement Phase 1 Brisbane Water Enviro Alliance (BWEA) has placed an order for GRP odour extraction ductwork for the Sandgate WWTP Nutrient Removal Upgrade. The order comprises the design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of the system and is due for completion in 2005.
June 2004 Oxley WWTP Stage 1 - Update
Work progresses on schedule for the Stage 1 of Oxley Wastewater Treatment Plant. The inset photo shows the cover system for the Sludge Tanks. The covers are set close to the top of the tanks which is around 8 metres above ground level presenting an interesting challenge for the installation.
May 2004 New contracts for Rail Interiors
RPC - Rail Interiors division has won three new contracts with United Goninan for the supply of railcar components; the Outer Suburban Cars Stage 1 Seating and also the Interior GRP Lining Panels. The third contract is for the Hunter Rail Car DMU vehicles Stage 1 Seating. The total value of these contracts exceeds $6.5m
May 2004 EA Ducting order for CWRP C3C Contract
United Engineers (Singapore) has placed an S$1.2 m order on RPC Singapore for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of FRP Exhaust Air Ducting System. The ducting is for their C3C Contract which is part of the Changi Water Reclamation Project. Design has begun and the project is scheduled for completion in March 2005.

March 2004 Enviro 04 Exhibition
RPC Technologies recently participated as exhibitors in the Enviro 04 Conference and Exhibition held at Sydney Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour. Approximately 4,000 Conference Delegates, Trade Visitors and exhibitors toured the show over 3 days. The Australian Water Association being a major sponsor of the event resultind in a strong water and wastewater focus which enabled RPC to demonstrate recent successes in this market.
March 2004 Subiaco WWTP Completion
The Subiaco WWTP Odour control has been completed in mid January several months ahead of schedule. In total 4 Primary Sedimentation tanks and 11 Aeration tanks have now been covered, smoke tested and handed over to the Water Corporation of WA. This early and successful completion is testament to the hard work and cooperation of the Alliance and sub-alliance partnerships.
March 2004 Beenyup WWTP Stage 2 Odour Containment Covers - Update
As an update delivery is all but complete as scheduled for the Beenyup Stage 2 Odour Containment Covers. Installation will progress through to the scheduled completion in June 2004.
