July 2005 Ravensthorpe Nickel Project - Cooling Towers CW SystemRavensthorpe Nickel Operations have ordered the design, supply, manufacture and delivery to site of cooling water piping including pipe supports from the power plant to the cooling tower. Design and documentation will be undertaken by RPC Sydney office and PT RPC Indonesia will share the manufacture with RPC Kooragang Island. June 2005 Keppel Merlimau PS Singapore - CW Piping SystemAlstom Power Singapore Pte Ltd has contracted RPC Singapore to design, supply, manufacture, deliver and install seawater cooling piping for the Merlimau Power Station. The design will be carried out by RPC Technologies - Sydney and manufacture will be in the PT RPC Indonesia works. The pipeline incorporates Ø2650mm, Ø1800mm and Ø1000mm pipe and fittings with some sections buried and other in pipe racks. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2006. | ![]() |
May 2005 Perth Desalination Plant - Intake and Discharge PipingThe Multiplex-Degremont Joint Venture has contracted RPC Technologies to design, manufacture, supply and assist with installation of the main intake and discharge piping for the Perth Desalination Plant. The GRP piping comprises Ø2300 mm intake, Ø1650 mm discharge and Ø1200 mm diffuser sections. May 2005 20 klm Seawater Pipeline - Ravensthorpe Nickel ProjectRPC Technologies has won a contract from Ravensthorpe Joint Venture (RJV) for the GRP section of the Main Seawater Pipeline feeding the Ravensthorpe Nickel Plant. The line consists of 20,000 metres of buried Ø650 PN 20 pipe in 12.75m lengths. Jointing is achieved through a 'bell & spigot' arrangement with double 'O' ring seal and locking chord. The joints are pressure tested in the anulus between the 'O' rings to ensure a complete seal prior to backfill. Subsequent order revisions to provide fittings and sweep elbows were added to the contract. | ![]() |

February 2005 Ravensthorpe Nickel - GRP Tank CoversCBI Contractors, having won the order for the field erected tanks for the Ravensthorpe Nickel Project, have contracted RPC Technologies to design and supply 19 self supporting GRP cover assemblies. The covers ranging in size from Ø 5m to Ø14.8m are manufactured in "pie" segments at PT RPC Indonesia and shipped to site where they will be assembled at ground level by CBI to instructions provided by RPC.
