Amaroo Main Sewer Project

Amaroo Main Sewer Project

Congratulations to Yarra Valley Water and John Holland Pty Ltd for the successful completion of the Amaroo Main Sewer Project. RPC is proud to have played its part in this major infrastructure project with RPC Pipe Systems supplying 8km of GRP Flowtite® trenched and Jacking pipe that was jacked into place at depths of 14m to 20m below ground, and RPC Technologies supplying 20 GRP integrated manhole liners (Perma Manholes™) ranging from 3.2m to 5m in diameter.

Each integrated GRP Perma Manhole™ consists of a channel liner, vortex structure and the manhole liner itself. This engineered solution was selected for its ease of installation, strength and corrosion resistance, and light weight. The structures are factory-fitted eliminating the need for crews to enter excavated shafts, minimising WH&S risks and reducing construction time from many weeks to days. RPC’s GRP Flowtite® Jacking Pipe, Perma Manholes™ and Ovoid liners are gaining acceptance as the innovative solution to replace aging brick and concrete sewers in cities around Australia and internationally providing a longer asset life with reduced maintenance requirements.
